A Real Boxing Experience

Boxing day

You know what is boxing day???? Any wild guess???

Boxing day is a public holiday in most of the countries like UK, Australia, Canada, Ghana, Greenland, Germany, Hong Kong, New Zealand . People  celebrates it on 26th of December , just after the Christmas. In dictionary meaning Boxing Day is the first weekday after Christmas. Traditionally, 26 December was the day to open the Christmas Box to share the contents with the poor. Its a day when family members get together for a party and they enjoy with games and watching movies or games.

The reason that the December 26th was known as ‘Boxing Day’ was the fact that many centuries ago, the Lord and Lady of the manor/castle/estate gathered together at the manor house, the workers including those from the outlying fields, forests and streams, the day after Christmas Day and organized the distribution of the annual necessities, done according to the status of the worker and the size of the family.

Nowadays Boxing day is known as the “shopping day”. It is the time when shops have the sales and the lowest price selling strategies. The price decrees will be a dramatic surprise  as compared to the normal prices. This day will be  the largest revenue day in the year. In UK the revenue collected on boxing day of 2009 was 20% higher than the year 2008.

It is really a Boxing Day. Many retailers open the shop very early by 3.00AM. People used to sleep in front of the shops on 25th itself so that they can enter into the shop as soon as it opens. There will be a drastic rush to enter in the shop. Once inside the shop people rush to grab the items which they want. There also we can see the real POWER of “Boxing”.

The online version of Boxing Day is known as Cyber Boxing Day, which has the busiest online business.

It is really an amazing day regardless the BOXING experience, people hopefully get a value added service. But I don’t know the reality behind the sales.

Life is beautiful with "tasty" water

Swedish Life

Sweden is the 55th largest country in the world. It is the 5th largest in Europe, and the largest in Northern Europe with a population in 2008 of over 9.2 million people. Sweden has a moderate climate, despite its northern latitude with four distinct seasons and affordable temperature through out the year.

Major part of the country is forest. Wild life in Sweden is very rich. Sweden is the most densely forested country in Europe, with forests covering more than half the country’s surface. Also agriculture is an important part of Sweden. Its because of the availability of the plenty of water resources.

Sweden is a country of rivers and lakes. It contains around  100,000 lakes, some of them very large. Swedish water come from these lakes and springs. If we go there we can see lots of small fountains having lots of water. Water travels through the rocks and comes to the lake. Swedish water is very delicious and pure. Its crystal clear and is 100% pure.

This may the reason behind the big taste of Swedish Beers. Swedish beers will be the most tastiest beers. :-)   Beers are composed mostly of water. Water contains different mineral components; as a result, beers produced in different part of the world differ in taste.

So its very important to make some researches on the water of different countries so that we can avoid beers which are not beneficial and not more ambrosial and can rely 100% on that beers which we buy and make sure that its good in taste.

"Chrismas Special" after the Christmas :-)

CHRISTMAS CAKES

Christmas Cake  is an English tradition that started as plum porridge. They used to eat it  on Christmas Eve, to clear their stomachs after a day of fasting. Soon dried fruit, spices and honey were added to the porridge mixture, and eventually it turned into Christmas puddings.

In the 16th century butter, wheat flour and eggs were added to the recipe of the food. These ingredients helped hold the mixture together and that resulted in a boiled plum cake. Families having  ovens began making fruit cakes with marzipan, an almond sugar paste, for Easter. For Christmas, they made a similar cake using seasonal dried fruit and spices. The spices represented the exotic eastern spices. That is the most popular  ” Christmas Cakes” today.

Christmas cake is type of fruit cake served at the time of Christmas. Usually it may be light or black , spongy ,shaped round /square.

"DIET" became a burden

Coca cola introduced Diet Coke for diet focusing people. This contains low sugar and mainly concentrate people having diabetics, athletes, people who concerned with calorie intake and people who require low sugar.

One of the advertisements of diet coke is shown below

The thing I wanna share with you is regarding this advertisement. I was surprised when I heard a reality that this advertisement is banned in Northern Ireland. Its really fantastic to have twist like this in the new era.

You know why this advertisement have been banned in Ireland?? This is because of the orthodox culture of Ireland where  girls will not do like this. In the advertisement some corporate girls look to normal workmen while they drink diet coke. The hidden seed is “Man Woman” matter.Ireland is such an orthodox country where corporate girls shouldn’t look at the work men like this. They are very narrow minded to accept this  eventhough it is an advertisement.

Kerala is also an orthodox state where there is big barrier in between girls and boys. But I don’t think that a problem like this has not araised there except some districts where the religious culture is deep rooted.Anyway according to my knowledge its quite intresting.
