YOU REAP WHAT YOU SOW

Here I am with a moral story . I got this from my uncle as a mail in my mailbox. I hope everyone of you will like this.

“Good morning”  said a woman as she walked up to the man sitting on ground.

The man slowly looked up.

This was a woman clearly accustomed to the finer things of life. Her coat was new. She looked like she had never missed a meal in her life.

His first thought was that she wanted to make fun of him, like so many others had done before.  “Leave me alone,” he growled….

To his amazement, the woman continued standing.

She was smiling — her even white teeth displayed in dazzling rows. “Are you hungry?” she asked.

“No,” he answered sarcastically. “I’ve just come from dining with the president. Now go away.”

The woman’s smile became even broader..

Suddenly the man felt a gentle hand under his arm.

“What are you doing, lady?” the man asked angrily. “I said to leave me alone.

Just then a policeman came up. “Is there any problem, ma’am?” he asked..

“No problem here, officer,” the woman answered. “I’m just trying to get this man to his feet.. Will you help me?”

The officer scratched his head.  “That’s old Jack. He’s been a fixture around here for a couple of years. What do you want with him?”

“See that cafeteria over there?” she asked. “I’m going to get him something to eat and get him out of the cold for awhile.”

“Are you crazy, lady?” the homeless man resisted. “I don’t want to go in there!”  Then he felt strong hands grab his other arm and lift him up.  “Let me go, officer. I didn’t do anything..”

“This is a good deal for you, Jack,” the officer answered. “Don’t blow it.”

Finally, and with some difficulty, the woman and the police officer got Jack into the cafeteria and sat him at a table in a remote corner.  It was the middle of the morning, so most of the breakfast crowd had already left and the lunch bunch had not yet arrived…

The manager strode across the cafeteria and stood by his table.  “What’s going on here, officer?” he asked.  “What is all this, is this man in trouble?”

“This lady brought this man in here to be fed,” the policeman answered.

“Not in here!” the manager replied angrily. “Having a person like that here is bad for business.”

Old Jack smiled a toothless grin.  “See, lady. I told you so. Now if you’ll let me go.. I didn’t want to come here in the first place.”

The woman turned to the cafeteria manager and smiled. “Sir, are you familiar with Eddy and Associates, the banking firm down the street?”

“Of course I am,” the manager answered impatiently. “They hold their weekly meetings in one of my banquet rooms.”

“And do you make a goodly amount of money providing food at these weekly meetings?”

“What business is that of yours?”

I, sir, am Penelope Eddy, president and CEO of the company.”

“Oh.”

The woman smiled again. “I thought that might make a difference.”  She glanced at the cop who was busy stifling a giggle. “Would you like to join us in a cup of coffee and a meal, officer?”

“No thanks, ma’am,” the officer replied. “I’m on duty.”

“Then, perhaps, a cup of coffee to go?”

“Yes, ma’am. That would be very nice.”

The cafeteria manager turned on his heel, “I’ll get your coffee for you right away, officer.”

The officer watched him walk away. “You certainly put him in his place,” he said.

“That was not my intent. Believe it or not, I have a reason for all this.”

She sat down at the table across from her amazed dinner guest. She stared at him intently.  “Jack, do you remember me?”

Old Jack searched her face with his old, rheumy eyes..  “I think so — I mean you do look familiar..”

“I’m a little older perhaps,” she said.. “Maybe I’ve even filled out more than in my younger days when you worked here, and I came through that very door, cold and hungry.”

“Ma’am?” the officer said questioningly.  He couldn’t believe that such a magnificently turned out woman could ever have been hungry.

“I was just out of college,” the woman began. “I had come to the city looking for a job, but I couldn’t find anything.  Finally I was down to my last few cents and had been kicked out of my apartment. I walked the streets for days.  It was February and I was cold and nearly starving. I saw this place and walked in on the off chance that I could get something to eat.”

Jack lit up with a smile.  “Now I remember,” he said.  “I was behind the serving counter.  You came up and asked me if you could work for something to eat. I said that it was against company policy.”

“I know,” the woman continued. “Then you made me the biggest roast beef sandwich that I had ever seen, gave me a cup of coffee, and told me to go over to a corner table and enjoy it.  I was afraid that you would get into trouble… Then, when I looked over and saw you put the price of my food in the cash register, I knew then that everything would be all right.”

“So you started your own business?” Old Jack said.

“I got a job that very afternoon. I worked my way up.  Eventually I started my own business that, with the help of God, prospered.” She opened her purse and pulled out a business card. “When you are finished here, I want you to pay a visit to a Mr. Lyons…He’s the personnel director of my company. I’ll go talk to him now and I’m certain he’ll find something for you to do around the office.”  She smiled.  “I think he might even find the funds to give you a little advance so that you can buy some clothes and get a place to live until you get on your feet.. If you ever need anything, my door is always opened to you.”

There were tears in the old man’s eyes. “How can I ever thank you?” he said.

“Don’t thank me,” the woman answered. “To God goes the glory. Thank Him… He led me to you.”

Outside the cafeteria, the officer and the woman paused at the entrance before going their separate ways…

“Thank you for all your help, officer,” she said.

“On the contrary, Ms. Eddy,” he answered. “Thank you. I saw a miracle today, something that I will never forget. And..And thank you for the coffee.”

If you have missed knowing me, you have missed nothing.

If you have missed some of my emails, you might have missed a laugh.

But, if you have missed knowing God our CREATOR, you have missed everything in the world.

Have a Wonderful Day. May God Bless You Always and don’t forget that when you “cast your bread upon the waters,” you never know how it will be returned to you..

When God leads you to the edge of the cliff, trust Him fully and let go.
Only 1 of 2 things will happen, either He’ll catch you when you fall, or He’ll teach you how to fly!

The  power of one sentence!

God is going to shift things around for you today and  let things work in your favor..

God closes doors no man can open & God opens doors no man can close..

Have a blessed day and remember to be a blessing…

Dangers in Business

Top five things people are most afraid of business

  1. VAT returns

VAT is not a difficult thing to afraid. The only thing which need a special care is to keep proper record. You should have a clear idea about the VAT you have charged on your goods & services and the amount you have been charged on the goods and services you have bought in.  Its only the simple calculations and the common sense. You will have to register for VAT only if your turnover is more than 67000 pounds. But don’t say it as an excuse not to develop your business. :-)

  2. Spreadsheet

Its very important to learn the spread sheet ideas inorder to comply  with the current developments since its a valuable skill.. So learn the spreadsheet with the help of a tutor or website for that. We will get lots of books which explain the theory of the spread sheet. www.spreadsheet123.com is a very useful site for the study of spreadsheets

  3. Pay roll

We are responsible for the employee salary, tax and national insurance payments. Once we keep a clear cut system for everything payroll is a simple and loving thing. The thing indeed is the systematic control.

  4. Incorporation

Incorporating business to a limited company involves a bit more paper work and good knowledge skill. But its not a big deal since we get a help line at Companies House that can talk to you in each and every step.

  5. Failure

Fear of failure  may be the reason for most of the people not starting a business.People don’t want to make their family into a risk by starting a business.this is because of the rumors regarding the failure of 50% start up business in the middle of the second year. But this count is based on the closure of business bank accounts and not the closure of business.Anyway be affirmative and no matter what happens to your business , you will success in acquiring your skills and knowledge and that will increase your earning power. If you don’t give it to go you wont fail but once you don’t accept the possibility of failure , you will never get success.

BECAUSE’S for not making a MILLION

1.    Oh my god I don’t have enough time

Normally we can hear this sentence from almost all people. ’I don’t have time.’. Once we will be able to schedule ourselves we have enough time to start or do effective things. People used to spend lots of time in front of TV. That is also ‘TIME’. If you are not able to find any time in your day to day life , keep a small diary at least for one week scribbling note on every work in hourly base. I am sure you can find out time to do fruitful things. Just think either the happiness just at a wink by the TV or the life long happiness through making MILLION  is important.

2.    No money in my hand

Most of the people say money is a big problem to start a business. But once we take the history of most of the entrepreneurs they have invested a small amount for their first venture. We have lots of business which need a small capital amount i.e. less than 1000 pound. The only thing we need is the thrust and the desire. If we have the urge to achieve something through a beneficial mode, start up cost can be reduced through hard work and commonsense.

3.    Its difficult to afford the drop in the salary

We are afraid of the salary and the job security every time. So people are not willing to leave the job and start a business. But if we have the confidence to win then why are you afraid of dizzy things like salary and savings. It all hinges upon the optimistic character and the confidence. We should be able to face the situations ahead with a cocksure mind and affirmative thoughts.

4.    I wanna build a good career rather than throwing away the same

People want to make a good career and they think that working in a multinational company is the way of making good career. They don’t want to risk themselves by taking a challenge. Its because of the lack of confidence. I do say that business is also a career and it may become a sparkling career than the job in an MNC. Take diversion to start business will give your career a sizable boost.

5.    No support from my partner.

Its very important to have support of the closest people to start a business. The partner regardless boy or girl, they will be doubtful about the future .Your duty is to convince them and figure out their doubts. You will be responsible to shed light on all the queries. Eventhough they are not ready to believe you have to be determined to make understand them that they are wrong. After all trials to make them understand if they are not ready to accept it “Dump Her/ Him”.

6.    No experience background

Most entrepreneurs  achieved a good business set up through small businesses and some of them were flop. If we want to establish we need to start it first. We are not fully experienced in things when we born. So saying don’t have  an experience is not an excuse for anything. You may have theoretical knowledge. But when you enter into the reality only you will get experience. So take the first step today itself.

7.    Not enough qualification

We cant start a business after getting the complete knowledge of it. We can acquire it through experience. If we have the common sense we can run a business. Even a small guy can start a business once he has common sense. The rules and regulations will be getting from the concerned government. There is no special qualification for starting a business. So I don’t think that qualification will be a barrier to start a business.
